Chelsea Launches 'Sign with Fingers' Campaign to Support Deaf Fans

·

Chelsea FC, in partnership with Cadbury and Fingers Digital Hub, has launched the Sign with Fingers initiative — a groundbreaking campaign focused on accessibility and inclusion for deaf supporters.

At the heart of the project is a commitment to provide supporters with practical deaf awareness resources and communication methods that remove barriers and encourage better matchday connection between fans. Learning materials will be available both in person and online via the Sign with Fingers hub.

The initiative delivers season-long support for Chelsea’s deaf fan communities at Stamford Bridge and Kingsmeadow, while the online learning hub extends access to the broader fanbase. This marks a significant step forward in Chelsea’s commitment to ensuring every supporter feels welcome, included, and able to fully enjoy the matchday experience.

“At Cadbury we want all families and fans to share and enjoy ‘Glass and a Half’ moments together in inclusive and welcoming environments.

As a league-wide first, our Sign with Fingers campaign is set to deliver season-long game-changing impact for the Chelsea deaf fan communities at both Stamford Bridge and Kingsmeadow stadiums and for broader fans via the Sign with Fingers online learning hub.

We’re excited to kick things off and work with both Chelsea men’s and women’s teams to deliver on our shared goal of meeting the needs of all supporters.”

— Louise Page, Partnerships Lead, Mondelez International

Fingers Digital Hub will provide additional learning resources and practical guidance, helping fans build confidence in basic sign communication and etiquette on matchdays.
